Season 2 - delivery 5

CSA - Community Supported Agriculture - Each week we are amazed and blessed by our farmers. I was so enthusiastic about our experience with our CSA last year, that this year I talked my husband's aunt into buying a CSA share from our farmers too. Every week I am nervous that our delivery will not match up to the hype that I gave it last year. My husband's aunt is a yoga instructor, a nurse,  and she teaches classes about healthy cooking. Her standards for healthy anything are pretty high...well, I can say so far she has been thrilled with the produce!

This week's delivery: broccoli, kale, garlic scapes, zucchini, lettuce, eggs, sugar snap peas, and fresh strawberries! Our farmers remove the garlic scapes from the hard neck garlic to encourage bulb formation. We dice the garlic scapes and add them to any recipe for a mild garlic taste. (The garlic scapes are the long curly green things in the far right of the picture.)

We had a delicious stir-fry containing a lot of veggies from the delivery - broccoli, sugar snap peas, zucchini, and garlic scapes all went into the wok. Delicious!
