Season 2 - delivery 2

Community Supported Agriculture - Farm fresh, ripe, organically grown strawberries - delightful. Nothing can beat this flavor!

The monster "strawberries" that you find in the stores aren't anything like the beautiful berries we received this week from our farmers. Store bought "strawberries" are huge, fleshy, white pithy middles, with green tips, lacking in flavor, and suspiciously all pretty much the same size and shape. (Someone's been messing around with hybridization and possibly genetics!)

Organic farm strawberries - that is the real deal! Varied in size and shape, these berries are ripe to the center - a beautiful bold red throughout. The taste is indescribable, packed with true flavor.

Our entire delivery this week was not only strawberries, but mint, kale, lettuce, green onions, and radishes. The radishes are another taste delight. These radishes are moist and tasty. They are not dry and bitter like store bought radishes that have been sitting around in warehouses. We were never a fan of radishes before, but we really like the fresh radishes from our farmers, and just like the strawberries they are varied in size and shape. A mark of good organic farming.
