Season 2 - Delivery 15

Community Supported Agriculture - We are at the transition point of the seasons for our vegetables -  summer into fall. The tomatoes are abundant, the peppers are loving the heat, and summer squash are coming to an end....




This delivery also brought an end of the season melon, end of the season cucumbers, the start of the green beans, and some beautiful purple basil. The weather has been so hot that our farmers' chickens have quit producing as many eggs. Our farmers traveled by horse and buggy to an Amish farm some 4 hours away to retrieve enough eggs to fill the orders that were headed to Kansas City. Interesting!
