14th Delivery

Community Supported Agriculture - Our 14th Delivery was full of great stuff! It makes me wonder what we will do this winter? How can I go back to frozen veggies when we've been delighting in all of the fresh produce?
This week a new item - Delicata Squash, also known as Sweet Potato Squash. Our farmers sent great cooking ideas with their newsletter. I also started "Google-ing" ideas, and found lots of great recipes. I can't wait to get started with experimenting this week!

 The news from our farmers at Fruitful Hills this week also contained information that was a little concerning. The work horses Jack and Jill got startled and ran off with some of the kids on the wagon. Luckily no one was hurt! We have a pic of Jack and Jill from our visit this past Spring. These are big work horses! The family also has a "road horse" for the buggy and a pony for the kids and their wagon.
